Roles in Viz Multiplay
The Journalist
Prepares the show. Either:
Browses Viz Multiplay for content (images, clips and graphics) and add to a show.
Prepares a show in Viz Trio or your newsroom control system.
Defines the channel or channels on which the content will be triggered.
The Control Room Operator
Triggers the show as it was created in the rundown or rearrange elements on-the-fly:
Prepares a normal rundown in the control room or newsroom. Viz Multiplay is fully MOS enabled so clips can be managed through the normal newsroom workflow using our ActiveX component.
In Viz Multiplay, opens a show.
Selects and activates a profile.
Selects and edits elements from the Sources pane. For example, media items, graphics, video wall layouts, or Viz Pilot templates.
Drags elements and arranges them in each channel:
Edits or previews the selected elements.
Drags or taps elements or video wall layouts to arm them, or take them to air: Viz Trio can trigger events from Viz Multiplay and control the content available in Viz Multiplay. Manual changes to the Viz Multiplay show are immediately reflected in the Viz Trio show and vice versa.
The Presenter
Controls the output on screen using a tablet:
Selects a media element to play.
Drags or taps elements to take them to air.
Note: The presenter’s tablet can automatically follow the control room’s Viz Multiplay client to reduce the number of actions required by the presenter.
Note: The physical video wall hardware is outside the scope of this chapter.
