Showmaker

Showmaker is a complete content planning and preparation tool, designed to work with Viz Mosart, enabling anyone to write scripts, choose video clips, create graphics from templates and prepare everything needed for a successful Viz Mosart production. It’s web-based, lightweight and ideal for productions which don’t use a traditional NRCS for the show preparation.

Previously available as an early access offering, Mosart Web Apps 3.0 brings the first official release of Showmaker with a major feature expansion.

  • A new Shows concept allows easy organization of rundowns for different productions, where each show can have multiple template rundowns to quickly begin each new edition with their standard content.

  • Faster editing of stories and rundowns complete with keyboard shortcuts and copy, paste, duplicate functions.

  • Improvements to the UI, including notifications, header information and timing visibility.

  • Addition of the Story Recorder feature allowing producers to mark a story for automatic recorded during its first broadcast, the recording then being aired as a clip in subsequent rundowns.

  • Admin and Viewer roles to control who has edit or read-only access to rundowns.

  • Showmaker now supports multiple Studios - always assign the rundown to the correct studio for the production.

Smart Panel

Smart Panel allows anyone to create customizable, easy-to-use, control panels for driving every aspect of a Viz Mosart production. These operator layouts provide rapid access to control the vision, audio, graphics and more - they are ideal for both self-operation or for productions where simplicity matters.

Mosart Web Apps 3.0 brings the first official release of Smart Panel with fully featured capabilities:

  • Layout editor with a configurable canvas and easy drag and drop components.

  • A selection of easy to configure widgets to quickly provide access to the most common controls.

  • Ability to easily include images and video in the layout for easy identification and confidence monitoring.

  • Access to a range of timing widgets with flexible selection of the type of timer to display.

Installation and Upgrade

  • Installation: To download this version, please visit the Vizrt FTP site at download.vizrt.com and navigate to /products/VizMosart/Latest Version/WebApplications/.

  • Upgrade: The installer manages the upgrade, automatically removing older versions of Vizrt Mosart Web Applications and the Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before installing the new package.
    Remember to close any running version of the Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before upgrading.

System Requirements & Documentation

  • Ensure compatibility with Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, and latest Chrome/Edge for a seamless experience across all Web Applications.

  • To use (OIDC) authentication, requires Viz Mosart 5.14.3 or later.

  • Smart Panel: HTTPS and authentication integration (via Open ID Connect) are not required to get started, however we strongly recommend their use in most operational scenarios, where multiple users are involved. Please see the relevant sections in the User Guide for configuration and setup instructions.

  • NRCS Plugin: Compatible with all versions of Viz Mosart. Features added in version 2.5 require Viz Mosart 5.12 or later.

  • NRCS Plugin with Viz Pilot Edge: Requires Viz Pilot Edge 3.1 or later.

  • Timing Display: Viz Mosart 5.0.3 or later.

  • Rundown Viewer: Viz Mosart 5.1.0 or later.

  • Showmaker: Viz Mosart 5.7.0 (MOS 4.0 support introduced) or later.

  • Template Editor (early access): All versions of Viz Mosart.
