In Viz Arc, projects consist of two main elements:

  • Scenes: The Viz Scene or Scenes the project controls.

  • Actions: Buttons that control different parameters of any Viz Scene within a project when activated – including template actions for operator-driven graphics.

A Project may also include:

  • Playlists: Rundowns of the project’s actions and templates, including their callup codes and column configuration.

  • Virtual Camera Flight shots: The project’s camera shot library.

  • Custom Script: For more dedicated logic and controls, see Scripting.

  • Virtual Studio or Augmented Reality objects configuration.

Projects can be managed (Open, Create, Save, etc.) from the Main menu or Project toolbar.

Storage: Projects are stored either on the Graphic Hub or on the local file system – in listings and APIs the two are distinguished by the gh: and local: name prefixes. The local projects location can be configured in the System settings, see Files and Folders. For very large projects stored on Graphic Hub, the Compress GraphicHub project content option (Configuration > General) compresses the content before upload – note that compressed projects cannot be opened by Viz Arc versions older than 3.1.
