Timing Display

Clip attributes

Version 2.4 introduced the ability to specify which clip attributes (for example, name and/or description) are displayed in the Timing Display. This feature can now be used with all versions of Viz Mosart 5.6 and later, and no longer depends on Viz Mosart 5.12.

Showmaker (early access)

In the Showmaker home menu, you can now easily duplicate rundowns.
The Rundown page is also improved to include more detailed information on available rundowns.

Graphics attached to a video clip added from Viz Pilot Edge are now visualized on the story element.

When trying to edit a story element (by double clicking it), Showmaker will now display a descriptive error message if the element contents do not match the setup of the plugin required for editing the element.

NRCS Plugin

Effects in Viz Mosart AV Setup marked as Hide From User are now also hidden in the NRCS Plugin. This can be useful for handling effects that should only be run in certain circumstances without being generally available for wider use.

Info: Masking effects categorized as Hide From User requires Viz Mosart 5.12 or newer.

We have also fixed a bug introduced in Web Apps 2.4 where the NRCS Plugin would fail to load in some variants of NRCS models. The NRCS Plugin is intended to work with NRCS variants running on Chrome versions newer than v70.

For NRCS variants running on older versions of the Chrome browser, instead use the MosartNRCSPlugin-iNEWSClientAddon-1.1.0.nn.exe (aka. ActiveX wrapper) downloadable from the Vizrt FTP site at download.vizrt.com under /products/VizMosart/Latest Version/WebApplications/.

Rundown Viewer

When hovering over a Viz Pilot Edge graphic item in a story, a preview of the graphic is now shown:

Installation and Upgrade

  • Installation: To download this version, please visit the Vizrt FTP site at download.vizrt.com and navigate to /products/VizMosart/Latest Version/WebApplications/.

  • Upgrade: The installer manages the upgrade, automatically removing older versions of Vizrt Mosart Web Applications and Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before installing the new package.
    Remember to close any running version of the Vizrt Mosart Web Applications Configuration Tool before upgrading.

System Requirements & Documentation

  • Ensure compatibility with Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, and latest Chrome/Edge for a seamless experience across all Web Applications.

  • NRCS Plugin: Compatible with all versions of Viz Mosart. Recently-added features will require a recent version of Viz Mosart.

  • NRCS Plugin with Viz Pilot Edge: Requires Viz Pilot Edge 3.1 or later.

  • Timing Display: Viz Mosart 5.0.3 or later.

  • Rundown Viewer: Viz Mosart 5.1.0 or later.

  • Showmaker (early access): Viz Mosart 5.7.0 (MOS 4.0 support introduced) or later.

  • Template Editor (early access): All versions of Viz Mosart.
