Viz Channel Branding 5.6.0
Release Date: 2026-05-29
These release notes describe the user-visible changes made to Viz Channel Branding version 5.6.0 since release 5.5.0.
Upgraded Framework
The solutions are upgraded from .NET 8 to .NET 10, increasing the requirement on all machines that will have installed components.
To download the required .NET 10 package, see Download .NET 10.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows)
New Features
Housekeeper Service allows Pages in Pagepool to be manually synchronized to a specific synchronization group or specific target destination, using a context menu.
Connections against Graphics Hub REST API, reached via Graphics Hub settings in Global Settings, now support HTTPS.
Improvements
Switching away from a Page field while editing and having not yet saved the new query, the operator is now shown a dialog requesting confirmation of the discard.
Global Settings' Graphics Hub section now allows user to remove older entries from the drop-down of used addresses.
Improved resilience of Housekeeper Service when operating on unstable networks over longer times.
The sync order of Template sub-parts is improved, removing a temporary Media Sequencer warning message that was displayed in the logs.
Manual Push of adjusted content from Page in Page Pool to Playlist now holds the shows a dialog during the process, indicating it is working on it.
Changes
We now only show TTL column in Page Pool if cleanout, according to TTL in Housekeeper, is enabled.
Playlist Importer now prevents the running of a secondary instance, avoiding situations where two or more PLI would attempt simultaneous import of the same schedule file.
All components are now packaged as single binary files as self-contained solutions with all dependent libraries included.
Fixed Issues
When scrolling in Page Pool after approving pages for synchronization, the success animation now correctly displays only for the synced items.
Automatic Folder Import, using Playlist Importer of an Excel schedule file, could end up with the Playlist Importer process hanging and unable to finish the import.
Loss of the channel logo when upgrading a channel using the Upgrade Tool, whilst at the same having it open in the Client UI.
Deleting a translation table could, since migration to .NET 8, cause unexpected client termination- injection registration corrected and issue resolved.
Under some conditions importing an Excel schedule file could result in Playlist Importer hanging indefinitely.
Manual sync workflow now properly works for distributed Media Sequencers.
