Datacenter 2.5.0

These are the release notes for Datacenter version 2.5.0. This document describes the user-visible changes that have been made to the software since Datacenter 2.4.0.

New Features

• DCE-77: The file reader data provider was extended to support XML files.

Improvements

• DCE-69: Improved logging when using the Tracab data provider.

• DCE-80: Improved browser cache handling, which removes the requirement of manually deleting the browser cache on version updates to get the latest UI changes.

Fixed Issues

• DCE-67: Fixed issue with the Sportec data provider, which was not correctly handling cases where Sportec returned only one result for a request (for example, when the selected competition had only one match).

• DCE-70: Fixed the memory leak when disabling an output and the receiving process was not reachable.

• DCE-71: Fixed issue where Datacenter became unresponsive when the Tracab data provider was used, but Viz Arc was not running.

• DCE-72: Fixed issue where activated add-on licenses disappeared in the license configuration.

• DCE-78: Fixed issue where an error was shown when adding a new Dataset without a script.

• DCE-84: Fixed several memory leaks and UI performance issues.

Known Issues

• Stats Perform authentication fails when the server used to fetch time on the Datacenter machine differs by more than 60 seconds from the time of the Stats Performs servers (RZT-12115).

• When having an active streaming dataset (for example, Tracab or Socket listener), the interaction with entries of other datasets (for example, adding a manual entry or copying an existing entry's value) may be hindered due to too frequent data updates (RZT-12200).

Licensing

Datacenter 2.5.0 requires a WIBU V3 software license.

Installing Datacenter

Install New Software (Required)

The setup file VizDatacenter-2.5.0.2749.msi installs all required files to run Datacenter. The installation requires the following steps:

Step 1: Remove Existing Datacenter Versions (Optional)

• Remove any existing installation of the Datacenter (recommended).

Step 2: Install Datacenter

• Locate the file VizDatacenter-2.5.0.2749.msi and double click it.

• Follow the steps on screen and click the Install button when finished.

  

Step 3: Verify Datacenter's Installation

• Make sure you have a valid Datacenter V3 WIBU license.

• Navigate to http://127.0.0.1:5700 or double click on the Datacenter Desktop icon.

• You should land on the following view (the Datasets list may be empty for a brand new installation):

  

Project Compatibility

Datasets created with versions older than 2.0.0, are not compatible with Datacenter 2.5.0.
