Scene Requirements

To be able to import the scene via Rapid Import, it must be created or re-saved in Viz Artist version 5.1 or newer.

Optional Requirements*:

  1. Versions of Media Sequencer prior to 5.8.0, do not set a template description during import.

  2. Versions of Media Sequencer prior to 5.8.0, do not detect expert mode fields during import, which means they are displayed even when the Expert Mode setting is not checked.

  3. If Viz Engine 5.2.1 is used, there are no special scene requirements.

Logging

Import information can be found in the Viz Trio log file %AppData%/Roaming/Vizrt/Viz Trio/Logs. The Rapid Import logs prefix is Rapid Import:.

General information is also printed in the template import information panel.

The log file keeps a comprehensive chronological record of scene import operations, tracking everything from initial validation through completion with detailed progress markers. It captures critical diagnostic information about potential failure points including validation errors, missing data, and compatibility issues, enabling users to quickly troubleshoot import problems.
